The State of Texas Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is a set of financial statements for a state, municipality or other governmental entity that complies with the accounting requirements established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). It must be audited by an independent auditor using generally accepted government auditing standards.

ACFR Title Update – May 2021:
In 2021 the Comptroller’s office renamed its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report to the State of Texas Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). The change was made in accordance with industry guidelines and standards.
Note: Previously issued annual reports were not retitled because they were audited by the State Auditor's Office.
